MediaStack-708B is a modular, portable digital closed captioning solution that conforms to FCC requirements as well as the ATSC mandatory standard. The integrated solution aims to enhance the accessibility services that digital television broadcasters and network operators provide to the deaf and hard-of-hearing population in the United States and Canada.

MediaStack-708B also incorporates legacy 608 analog caption support and includes the intelligence to display closed captioning in multiple languages simultaneously, a feature which is important in the ethnically diverse countries of North America. Viewers can change all available properties of the displayed text to suit their needs, such as font style, character size, foreground and background color and edge effect.

Zentek’s commercial implementation of 708B includes an advanced, integrated font engine and optimized screen display fonts, and its modular structure combines platform-dependent and independent components for optimum portability.

MediaStack-PSIP, Zentek’s commercial implementation of EIA65 PSIP system information decoding, is the solution for the hard-coded channel map in North America during the transition from analog to digital television. PSIP creates a virtual-to-physical analog and digital channel map consistent with the ATSC mandatory standard.

Deployed in Sanyo’s DIR-2000 set top box, MediaStack-PSIP has successfully passed all the Sarnoff PSIP tests, and has been field tested in San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, New York City, Dallas and Detroit.

MediaStack-OCAP is Zentek’s fully compliant CableLabs OCAP commercial implementation that is architected for easy portability to multiple platforms.

MediaStack-OCAP was created independently of a specific virtual machine or hardware platform to ensure portability and interoperability, and to provide customers with multiple vendor options.

MediaStack CableCard Host Interface (CCHI) implements the OpenCable host protocol specification, enabling decryption of digital cable television transmissions without the need for a separate set-top box. Its modular structure facilitates easy porting to different host environments, and supplies resources and applications for key functions such as CA and channel tuning.

MediaStack-MHP is a DVB standards-compliant MHP stack that is architected for easy portability to multiple platforms.

Zentek's Windows XP MHP emulator provides a robust execution environment that enables rapid and cost-efficient application development, debugging, benchmarking and testing. MediaStack-MHP for Windows XP has passed a suite of tests gauging its compliance with DVB-MHP standards, including benchmarks for interoperability, joining the elite group of products granted the right to bear the DVB-MHP logo.

MediaStack-MHP was created independently of a specific virtual machine or hardware platform to ensure portability and interoperability, and to provide customers with multiple vendor options.

Currently, MediaStack MHP is available for Windows XP, the NEC EMMA2 architecture and ATI’s Set-Top Wonder Xilleon reference design.

Zentek’s DVB Service Information Engine is a core software technology for every digital television decoder. Compliant with the DVB-SI specification, Zentek’s implementation is easily ported to different devices and can reduce development cost and schedule risk for set top box vendors.

MediaStack-ARIB is Zentek’s fully compliant ARIB commercial implementation that is architected for easy portability to multiple platforms. It supports the ARIB specifications B-23, B-24 and B-10.

MediaStack-ARIB was created independently of a specific virtual machine or hardware platform to ensure portability and interoperability, and to provide customers with multiple vendor options.
